First Egg!

Finally, after 4+ long months of waiting, we have our first egg! It's brown and more oblong than a regular egg, but it's still our first egg. We still have 11 chickens, but it turns out we have at least 3 roosters, all of which start crowing by 5:00 a.m. So, unless we have more roosters "in the closet", we should have 8 egg-layers.

    I am SO jealous!! We get our fresh eggs through our CSA, but I'd love to try chickens!! (insert eye roll from Jeff :)

    YAY!!! (Except for the roosters at 5am part - I am up then with crying baby, but he will hopefully grow out of that!) I would love to have chickens too...=) Hope you all are well and enjoying the summer!
